Meta has been rolling out the Meta Business Suite since it moved away from Facebook Business Manager. You’ll certainly benefit from Business Suite’s administration dashboard if you manage social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, or both.

What is Facebook Business Suite?

Facebook Business Suite is a management solution for Facebook that was released in September 2020. “A new interface to help companies save time and remain up to date by managing their pages or accounts across [Meta] applications,” Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg said on the day of the launch.

The new Business Suite combines all of the tools from Pages, Creator Studio, and Business Manager so you can manage everything from one place.

Why is the Meta Business Suite better than Facebook Business Manager?

The new Meta Business Suite is meant to replace Facebook Business Manager. By default, the link that used to take you to Business Manager now takes you to Business Suite. So, what’s different now? Meta has created a more unified platform to handle all commercial operations for Facebook and Instagram in their new business interface.

Here are the key changes or features of Business Suite:

  • Post across platforms

Publish Facebook and Instagram feed posts and stories without switching accounts. You may schedule articles and stories, save them as drafts, or upload creative assets to the media library to share at a later time when your consumers are most interested.

  • Manage your inbox

You can read and respond to messages and comments from Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram in a single place and set Automated Responses for quicker responses.

  • Create ads

Increase the number of people who view and interact with your company by boosting a post or establishing a Facebook or Instagram ad.

  • Planner

This gives you a calendar view of your scheduled posts.

  • Track Insights and trends

View the performance of your Facebook and Instagram posts, track significant trends, and discover more about your Facebook and Instagram audience.

  • See all activity at a glance

Using the Activity tab, you can see all of your business’s Facebook and Instagram activities. You may now access your To-Do-List immediately on the Home page to prioritize unread messages and comments.

  • Access helpful tools

From Business Suite on desktop, you can quickly access other Facebook tools like Ads Manager, Commerce Manager, Business Settings, and more. You can now add a Catalog to your Facebook Business Suite.

What does this mean for us? Should we make the switch?

Meta Business Suite is suitable for companies who want to simplify their administration across all of Meta’s platforms. If you’re already using another social media management tool to monitor and manage your business across multiple channels, particularly outside of the metaverse, you might want to take a look at the Business Suite to familiarize yourself with some of the features, but I wouldn’t recommend switching away from your current tool just yet.
